Scott Hastings

Scott Hastings spent 10 years in the NBA with several different teams.  Nowadays he hosts his own show on 104.3 the Fan in Denver while also acting as the television analyst for the Denver Nuggets.  He joined Chad on Flight 750 Monday to discuss the collapse of the Denver Broncos this weekend and to preview the big mile-high matchup between the Blazers and Nuggets tomorrow.

Hastings, like many, implies that the Broncos-Ravens game really was won and lost on one play.

“You don’t give up a 70 yard pass with 30 seconds to go in the game because you’re playing in the wrong position.  That can’t happen.”

Hastings also talked about the Blazers and the Rookie point guard they have running the show for them.  It seems that Hastings has been a fan of his for even longer than all of us in Portland have been.

“I got to see Damian Lillard last year and the last time I saw him they were play Utah and he was leading the country in scoring.  He was about the most unselfish, leading the NCAA in scoring player that I’ve ever seen in my life.”

And if that wasn’t enough praise, Hastings also had this to say:

“I think he’s fantastic.  I thought he was fantastic last year…I’m a big big big fan of his.”

Take a listen to the interview and be sure to look for Hastings tomorrow night as the Blazers and Nuggets face off in Denver.
