Snow was falling when the body was found

Crime scene tape surrounded part of Peninsula Park in North Portland for much of Monday after a worker found a woman's body near a maintenance building on the east side of the park along Kerby Avenue.

An autopsy found that 63-year-old Wendy Loren died from hypothermia.  Temperatures the night before were below freezing and she was not dressed for the weather.  Mrs. Loren lived about a mile away on North Michigan Avenue.  Police believe she wandered away and got lost.
