Mark McMillian spent seven seasons in the NFL with the Eagles, Saints, Redskins, 49ers and Chiefs and he played his college football at recently crowned National Champion Alabama.  He joined Chad on Flight 750 Tuesday to talk about the Tide’s epic beatdown of the Irish last night in the BCS National Championship.

McMillan insists that being a part of the Crimson Tide family is something very special – Something few people understand.

“Being a part of the alumni, being a part of this tradition, it’s kind of like…surreal.”

McMillian also maintains that had Oregon been in the National Championship with Alabama, the Ducks would have probably suffered a similar fate to the Irish.

“Every week in the SEC is competitive and I know people are saying Oregon would have given them a better game.  I don’t see a college team in America – If you were to put them on the field yesterday – that would beat those guys the way they were focused.”

And finally, McMillan spoke to what he thinks makes Nick Saban such an incredible coach.

“His attention to detail…You know, he takes pride in every single detail, every drill, every ball, everything…What other coaches may take for granted, he takes it serious.

Take a listen to the interview and be sure to look for McMillan on his radio show “Hard Hittin Radio” down in Phoenix.  You can also follow him on his twitter handle: @MarkMcMillian29.
