A roll-over crash in North Portland killed one person and seriously injured two others on Wednesday morning. Police now believe alcohol was involved in the first 2013 traffic fatality in the city.
The driver of a truck lost control on Argyle Way into a grassy median before crashing down an embankment and hitting a telephone pole on the south side of Columbia Boulevard.
A passenger, 39-year-old Adan Gonzalez of Albuquerque, New Mexico didn't survive.
The driver and another passenger were injured, but still managed to escape before help arrived.
A fourth passenger, 39-year-old Eleno Guillen of Gardner, Texas was pinned inside the vehicle and rescued by firefighters.
Charges are being referred to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
