The Pac-12 Conference did well by placing Stanford in the Rose Bowl and having the Oregon Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl. Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk Fiesta Bowl and football in the conference.
Every conference in major college football views getting selected to participate in a BCS bowl game as a major target. John Canzano and Larry Scott discuss what it means to the Pac-12 to have participants in a BCS game.
"This is what the program is working toward all year and sort of the pecking order of conferences and your spot nationally get determined by these big games."
By adding Colorado and Utah to the conference as well as a new television network the revenue has increased in the conference. Commissioner Scott talked about how the revenue in the conference leads to more parity between football teams.
"The biggest beneficiary of the new resources coming in is gonna be the resources for the teams that haven't primarily been the top teams and will create more depth across the board."
The conversation between John and Commissioner Scott also leads to the Fiesta Bowl and the matchup between the Oregon Ducks and Kansas State.
