The Oregon Ducks have one of the most prolific offenses in all of college football. Head coach Chip Kelly couldn't have had the success in Eugene without the help of his offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich. Helfrich joined John Canzano to talk about the Ducks Fiesta Bowl matchup with Kansas State.
Reports are floating around saying that Ducks head coach Chip Kelly will be interviewing with NFL teams after the Fiesta Bowl. Speculation is that Mark Helfrich will be in line to take over the reigns of the Ducks in Eugene. John Canzano asked Helfrich if he would be ready to lead the Ducks.
"I love my job and I have a great job, live in a great place we have unbelievable players I have a great family and that's where I'm at today. Certainly there's been a lot of hubub here recently and you deal with those things as they come."
The Oregon Ducks success is largely due to the play of red-shirt freshman QB Marcus Mariota. John Canzano asked Mark Helfrich if Mariota has figured out the offense of the Oregon Ducks.
"He's got the nuts and bolts of everything we try to do within our system and he has a very very very good understanding of all the other stuff."
The conversation also turns to the Fiesta Bowl and the Ducks matchup with Kansas State in Glendale, Arizona.
