Here we go again. The Portland School Board learned last night  the district is facing a 22 million dollar budget shortfall next school year. That assumes lawmakers approve the Governor's proposed budget and PERS reforms. If changes to PERS are not okayed, the shortfall would grow to 32 million dollars. A number of school board work sessions and opportunities for public input will take place before the school superintendent releases her proposed budget in mid April.
