'Tis the Season for Colds
Winter is often the season when people get sick and here in early December it certainly seems to be "going around". A number of people here at KXL and Alpha Broadcasting have been fighting a bug and we don't think we are alone.
Family care Dr. Rambod Rouhbakhsh says it starts with a simple cold. He says when you are susceptible that cause upper respiratory tract illnesses - aka - a cold, you are also susceptible to getting gastroenteritis inducing viruses.
He says this time of year we are inside more and often stay in closer quarters at work. Our kids are also spreading it around school. He says the best way to not get sick is by using all the usual tactics. Wash your hands frequently and try and keep your hands away from your face. Get plenty of rest and exercise and eat a balanced diet.
