Two developments come from the crazy tax negotiations in Washington DC should shock Americans. The President, who promised to cut the federal deficit in half, plans to have trillion dollar deficits for the rest of his second term in office. And now he’s asking for 1.6 trillion in new taxes…but there’s something worse. The Constitution puts the authority for the government to borrow money in the hands of Congress. President Obama’s treasury secretary is asking, today, to have that authority transferred to the White House.  America is right up against its debt ceiling of 16 trillion and Timothy Geitner wants there to be no limit at all. 18 months ago, our country hit that debt wall and was threatened with defaulting on its debt for the first time in history. Decisions to borrow and spend money should stay with the congress. But the same President who has told us he doesn't need the congress…because he can pass new law with the stroke of a pen in executive orders…the same President who has refused to enforce some laws because he decided they’re unconstitutional…now wants more authority.  America does not need a dictator…cannot allow a dictator…who threatens to bury us in so much debt we may never climb out of the hole he has put us in...
