Clackamas County Elections Worker Indicted

Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown says Deanna Swanson tampered with six ballots while working this election season.  But, all those votes were still counted.  She took blank ballots and filled them in with Republican candidates.

Swanson actually tearfully apologized first to her husband, to her family and friends and to every voter out there.  While she is a registered Republican, she says she was not politically motivated.  She says she was ill and on medication and does not remember altering the ballots.

She will be arraigned next week and could get up to five years in prison and a $125,000 fine.
