Oregon Schools Are Going Bowling!

Fiesta Bowl/Fiesta Bowl
The Oregon Ducks will hit another BCS bowl game, most likely the
Tostitos Fiesta Bowl while it looks like the Oregon State Beavers have a shot at either going to the
Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl or the
Valero Alamo Bowl. Representatives from each bowl joined John Canzano to talk about the selection process and the bowl game.
The Ducks appear to be headed to Glendale, Arizona to face off against more than likely either Kansas State or Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Fiesta Bowl Executive Director Robert Shelton joined the show to talk about the selection process.
"First of all is the quality of team, secondly we look for the style of play and then the third one is how excited is the fan base."
The Oregon State Beavers path to a bowl game will more than likely take them to San Diego, California or San Antonio, Texas.
Alamo Bowl President & CEO Derrick Fox joined the show and talked about the gift bags the players receive for participating in the Alamo Bowl.
"We got a wide variety of things beginning with the iPad Mini as one of the gifts this year, a watch, mini helmets, a team photo and a $200 gift card as well to complete the gift packet that's valued at $550 which is the maximum allowable gift for the NCAA."
Holiday Bowl Executive Director Bruce Binkowski joined the show and talked about why the Holiday Bowl is a more attractive bowl game than the Alamo Bowl.
"Very simple, it's San Diego there's miles and miles of beaches, I don't see a beach in San Antonio. We've got golf courses everywhere, temperatures are going to be in the 60's or 70's with sunshine, easy to get to and it's a great place to come in December, very simple."
