Report on Portland's Economic Recovery
The
Portland Business Alliance, along with a coalition of chamber of commerce organizations, released a report detailing the region's economic recovery progress.
One of the highlights is an increase in productivity. The city has also gained about 60% of the jobs that it has lost since 2008.
There's bad news as well. Portland's median household income fell 10.5% since 2008 and it's still lagging behind other cities of similar size. For example, income in Seattle is $9,000 more, and it's $4,000 more in Denver.
