PSU Student Sexually Assaulted
A 27-year-old Portland State University student was knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted by a stranger while walking to her dorm early this morning. Instead of waking up in her bed, she woke up in an alley behind the Stratford Building near Southwest 10th and Market.
The man started following the victim as she walked home just after 3:00am. A K-9 search could not find him. The woman was treated at the hospital for her injuries.
Police a better description of her attacker. He's white, in his mid 30's with shaggy light brown hair, pronounced cheekbones, and an unshaven face.
Campus police issued an
alert to students, faculty and visitors. The attack happened early on the same day of a special program dealing with sexual assaults.
