West Side Boil Order Lifted
It was a rough 24 hours for 57,000 customers of the
Tigard Water Service Area. They had to boil their water after tests for bacterial contamination and follow-up samples were positive for E. Coli and Coliform. All while Thanksgiving dinner was in question.
Crews flushed the distribution system yesterday and re-tested the water. Results this morning showed no contamination. Officials still don't know the source, but it was possibly from animal or human waste.
The boil order covered most of Tigard, Durham, King City, Bull Mountain and unincorporated Washington County.
The Albertsons in Tigard sold out of bottled water.
