TriMet Changes This Week
It's going to be a busy week for TriMet. On Wednesday, the MAX Red Line will have it's busiest day of the year as riders get to and from the airport. TriMet is expecting up to 4,000 riders on the red line that one day alone. On Thursday, buses and MAX trains will be on a holiday schedule, which means they won't be running as often. Friday might be the busiest day though. There is a parade, a Winterhawks game, the tree lighting ceremony and a Blazer game all within a few hours of each other. Because of the tree lighting ceremony, the three MAX platforms surrounding Pioneer Courthouse Square will be closed for safety reasons. And the biggest change for riders may be at Clackamas Town Center. Throughout the weekend, buses will not be stopping at the transit center, which is located inside the parking lot. Instead, a temporary stop will be set up on Monterey Avenue, just north of the movie theater entrance. TriMet says it did this because last year it took some buses two hours to get through the crowded parking lot, setting off a chain reaction of delays throughout the bus system.
