Strong Storm Moving Into Metro Area

A storm moving in to the metro area on Sunday could be one of the worst storms of the year. Rod Hill of KGW says to expect heavy rain and winds up to 50 mph in the Portland area. Wind gusts at the coast could reach 80 mph.
The rain in the valley means snow in the mountains, with snow already falling Sunday and an additional 3-6 inches expected on Sunday.
Ski resorts have not announced a Thanksgiving opening, but the storm may help them make that decision.
