It was a big weekend in college football last Saturday as the seemingly unbeatable Alabama Crimson Tide fell at home to SEC newcomer Texas A & M.  And hundreds of people in the Northwest wanted to know what our favorite southern gentleman had to say about his beloved Tide losing their first game in over a year.  Lucky for us, the beloved SEC Guy joined Chad on flight Thursday to explain what happened in Tuscaloosa that day.

Let’s not forget, SEC Guy didn’t seem too thrilled that the SEC had expanded to 14 teams over the offseason and let Texas A & M and Missouri come aboard.

“Don’t you hang anything that Missouri or Texas A & M do on us.   Separate checks…Separate checks!”

Well when we asked him about it, the doctor used clever spin and humor to get out of it, the same way he always does.  He claims that he never said anything about separate checks and that Chad and his Producer took what he said in a previous conversation and edited to make it sound like he said separate checks.

Believe what you want to believe on that one.  We all know the truth.

SEC Guy also claims that the refs have been out to get Alabama for awhile because they’ve been the top team in the conference for so long, and he insists that the officials had a lot to do with the outcome of that game.

“There were a lot of QUEST-ION-ABLE holding calls in that game.”

However, SEC Guy did admit that his beloved Nick Saban may not be as invincible as he had previously thought and he suggests that if Nick Saban doesn’t pull it together, Bama fans may be pulling another beloved coach away from his team.

“Saban maybe took a little step down from great to good with that game.  And if he keeps that kind of business up, we can find someone else.  Saban wants to keep that up, we’ll go get Belichick.  It doesn’t matter to us.”

This is only a fraction of the comedy you will find in the interview.  So be sure to take a listen.
