Beavers Looking to Knock Off Cal
The Oregon State Beavers are looking for momentum heading into the "Civil War" game with Oregon in two weeks and beating Cal this Saturday in Corvallis would be a great place to start. Beavers head coach Mike Riley joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about the match-up.
Coach Riley and John talked about what kind of game Cal will bring to Corvallis when facing off against the Beavers.
"They got 3 good runners, they've got an offensive line that is built for the run game and then I reminded our team that this team beat us up last year running the football and both sides of the line on offense and defense they beat us up. Our message to the team is this is going to be another typical Pac-12 game and typical for us is going to be decided in the last minute."
The Beavers have had the good fortune of having success using starting quarterback and a backup quarterback this season. The backup QB at the beginning of the year was Cody Vaz and he was injured at the end of the Stanford game last week. Coach Riley talked about whether or not the starter would be Vaz or Sean Mannion.
"It's gonna be Sean, Cody hasn't come around as fast as we thought and so Sean is getting all the practice."
Coach Riley and John also talk about having police escorts at the football game and what that experience is like.
