Damage to the business complex

Ronald Nelson's mug shot

A driver wanted by police for possible drug activity tried to get away in Southeast Portland this morning.  He left behind a lot of damage in his pursuit for freedom.

Police say 37-year-old Ronald Nelson hit two parked cars on Woodward Place, knocked over mailboxes and tore up a yard while speeding through the neighborhood.

He continued down 122nd Avenue, careened into a parking lot and hit the back of a business complex.  It busted a brick wall and smashed a window.

Nelson, 37, was taken to the hospital.  Inside his car was heroin, meth and body armor.
