Fire Spreads Through Apartments Near Milwaukie

The fire apparently started on a back balcony and with the help of strong winds spread inside a building housing six apartments, destroying them all.

Everyone escaped to safety.  Firefighters had to wait to put out the flames before they could search for victims.  Twelve people are staying elsewhere and the Red Cross is helping them with accommodations.

Listener Arin Marcus sent in this video.  He went knocking on doors to make sure everyone was out.
