Boo Birds Fly High In Charlotte.

Democrats took God out of their party platform. The President signed off on the platform before the convention began. Those facts are not in dispute. But then something funny happened.

The American public found out God and Jerusalem had been removed from the platform and democrats sensed trouble. So yesterday, they took the unusual step of suspending the rules of the convention by a two thirds vote. Then the former governor of Ohio stood up and proposed putting God and Jerusalem back in the platform.

Good so far.

Convention chair Antonio Villagirosa called for a two thirds vote to okay the change. Ayes and Nays were shouted but clearly it wasn’t two thirds. So Villagirosa called for a second vote. Same result. And a third vote. At that point, the democrats faced the prospect of headlines that would read “Democrats vote God out of platform”.

So in the face of a vote that clearly wasn’t two thirds approval of the change, Villagirosa simply declared the changed approved. Shouts and boos followed. But that’s the way democrat style democracy works…you count till you get the result you want. And if you lose, simply declare victory and march off the field.

Stand proud American Democrats…your delegates tried their best to vote God out.
