A number of years ago, while dining at some friend's home in McMinnville, I was asked to bring dessert. Not a problem! I came up with this one, which is not only simple to make, but also delicious. Give it a try. It will become a family favorite for sure!
Ingredients: 1 package pound cake, 2 fresh peach halves per person, ice cream and chocolate syrup.
Preparation: Remove the skin off the peaches, slice in half and remove pit. Thaw pound cake, and slice into one-half to one inch thick pieces. Fire up youre grille on high. Pre-heat for 10 minutes. Grill each side of the peach halves, until edges just start to brown. Remove and place in a bowl. Next, lightly grill the pound cake slices-approximately 20-40 seconds per side. Remove and place in bottom of bowls. Add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, slice peaches and place on top of ice cream. Drizzle chocolate syrup over peaches and ice cream. Savor!
