A terrible tragedy in Colorado today with the murder of 12 people at a movie theater and dozens wounded.

We’re going to start hearing what we always
hear in the aftermath of lawless behavior…disarm all law abiding citizens.
Let me suggest something different. Less than a week ago, a gunman came into an
internet café apparently intended to rob the place. A quick thinking, law abiding, 71 year
old, legally carrying a pistol, shot the man and his accomplice several times
and drove them back out of the business.
Concealed carry won’t be the right solution in every situation, but the
FBI says that 750-thousand times a year, law abiding citizens stop a crime from
evening happening by displaying a pistol.
And we simply can’t know how many times the bad guys don’t even try
their crimes because they know they will be met with force.
The president
mentioned this morning that his daughters go to the movies. True.
Malia and Sasha are protected by men with guns. Other Americans deserve no less.
Say a prayer for the victims of this crime in Aurora…and say a prayer for our whole country if people use this as an excuse to keep Americans from protecting themselves.
