I very much like the flavor of corn whiskey. Now, combine the spry notes of citrus and the herbal, refreshing flavor of mint, and you have a very unique cocktail to serve at your next swishy, swishy.
Ingredients: 2oz. corn whiskey, 1oz. fresh grapefruit juice, 1oz sweet & sour mix, 1/2 oz. mint simple syrup, mint sprig for garvbish.
To Make Mint Simple Syrup 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 bunch fresh mint. Boil in a sauce pan and stir to dissolve sugar. Simmer to reduce slightly. Strain out mint leaves. Allow to cool.
For Sweet & Sour: 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup lime juice, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water. Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
To Make The Cocktail: Combine the liquid ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
