THE LARS LARSON SHOW                         Honestly Provocative.

Lars LarsonLars got his start in radio at age 16 spinning records (remember 45s?) and reading news, sports and weather (twice an hour) on KTIL (The Mighty 1590) from a little cinderblock building on the edge of a cow pasture in Tillamook, Oregon (75 miles West of Portland, Oregon).

36 years later, he’s only moved 75 miles east to Portland and light years to “the Right”. Emmy and Peabody award winner Lars Larson brings nearly four decades of experience as a radio and television journalist to the microphone for six hours of the best talk radio in America. Six hours of daily prep keep The Lars Larson Show on top of the news and top-of-mind for listeners across the country.

Along the way, Lars has worked for more than a dozen radio stations and five television stations. Today, Lars holds down the fort from 12pm – 4pm on Radio Northwest flagship FM NEWS 101 KXL. His local talk show airs on seventeen stations in the Pacific Northwest (and earns him the biggest local talk radio audience in the region).

HEARD ON LARS LARSON

Deliberately Diminished

Dinesh D'Souza, the man behind the movie "2016: Obama's America," saw it coming.

He said that the President planned to diminish America in every conceivable way.

It's happening now.

Our latest example: The Air Force is grounding 17 squardons. Here's an excerpt from our friends at Aviation Intel:

I find it very strange that 17 USAF squadrons are being GROUNDED, including the USAF Thunderbirds Jet Demonstration Team, yet Air Force One showed up at SFO last week, along with a pair of Marine One helicopters, a squadron of Marine force protection and staff transport helicopters, the Presidential Motorcade, assorted heavy transports and hundreds of Secret Service so that President Obama could raise $3.2 million for Nancy Pelosi’s reelection. Air Force One is all about “The One” apparently, the rest of us won’t get to see or interact with the military we pay for this year. Think of it as ending White House Public tours but at 600kts and 7.5Gs… Nice. With this in mind I ask where is sequester for the Presidential Airlift fleet? So 17 USAF combat squadrons can’t fly, the Thunderbirds have their wings clipped so no public USAF presence and the front line guys that still remain flying get their precious complex training hours slashed, but the money burning tub known as Air Force One gets to cruise around with unlimited mileage? How is a Nancy Pelosi’s fundraiser “essential operations?” It is good to be king I guess, that way none of the rules or “tough decisions” ever apply to you. I challenge the White House to significantly curtail non-essential VC-25 operations and related executive travel just like the rest of the USAF. Are endless vacations, constant trips to Hollywood and political fund raisers seriously justified expenses right now? Considering the readiness of our prized USAF will be degraded to a degree never imagined before, I really doubt that such luxuries are necessary. I would venture to guess that the President’s trip to San Francisco cost more than the money raised at the political fund raiser. One has to ask themselves, why not just have the Government write Pelosi a check instead? I bet it would have been cheaper for the tax payer!

Bye-Bye Buisness

I've been saying for years that Oregon is one of the most business unfriendly states in the union.

Now, one Oregon business has decided that trying to expand here isn't worth the headaches...

Colt Competition makes fantastic firearms in Canby, OR, and owner Charlie Lake came on the show today to dispel rumors that he was moving the company to Texas.

Charlie did say that he isn't moving the company to Texas, he is expanding...

Remembering Margaret Thatcher

If you listen to the news all day today, you’re going to hear the quote a thousand times after the passing of Lady Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady of Britain, and the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. She said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money”. She knew that in the 80’s and she tried to fix the problem in her country. Before Thatcher, the government had taken over major industries throughout the country and it put the country in a terrible economic state. Thatcher reversed that course, sold industries back to the private sector and Britain prospered. Now in America, we see OUR government taking over major industries… health care, banking, automobile and technology. Of course, the actual ownership may stay in private hands, but the government’s money is everywhere…and its rules. If you write the rules and the checks, it has the same effect as ownership. Federal, state, county and city governments amass piles of debt we’ll never pay off. I only wish that our region…and our country…would see a modern day Margaret Thatcher emerge and turn us away from the socialism Obama and his buddies embrace. May Lady Thatcher rest in peace.

The Documentary That Wants To Tell The Truth About Benghazi

For months, we've been working to help uncover the secrets behind the Benghazi scandal. I truly believe there is more to this situation than we've been told, and I'm not alone.

Buzz Jacobs, former Director of Immigration Security Policy under George W. Bush, is on a mission. He and his partner are creating a documentary called "Benghazi 9-11," which seeks to expose the truth behind what happened in Benghazi, and find out the story that the President doesn't want told.

Benghazi 9-11 needs your help, you can donate to the production of the film by going to Indie Gogo.

Should the U.S. Launch A Preemptive Strike On N. Korea?

The Fat Little Prince has dialed up the rhetoric, and I think it's time for the United States to consider sending a message to the dough boy dictator.

I'm not sure the President's anti-war crowd would appreciate it, but I think a preemptive attack on North Korea would potentially save thousands of lives.

I'm not talking about nuking the country. I'm talking about a surgical strike on, for example, two of their least populated missile launch bases.

The President should warn them that in an hour, or two hours, we're going to dust those areas, so get your people out. It would send a message that we aren't playing around, and I think it would go a long way in making Kim Jong-Un rethink this situation.

We've done this before with countries like Libya, and I think it's time to do it again.

I wish that we could see a little bit of Ronald Reagan in President Obama...but he remains silent, and leading from behind.

Second Amendment Sadness

Connecticut has proposed some of the strictest gun laws in the country, and that has people scared.

Gun stores all over the state have been flooded with people in a mad dash to get their hands on weapons, magazines, and ammo that will more than likely end up on the state's list of banned items if/when this bill gets the green light.

I had the chance to talk with Tom Imperati, who owns and operates The Hunter's Shop in Brandford, CT tonight. He's been in business for over 30 years, and he says that, while he's been very busy, the reason behind the recent boom in business is sad...
