Marijuana Infused Edibles, Topicals, Extracts Available in Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore.—- Beginning today, June 2, 2016 the 350 Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in Oregon may sell pot infused edibles, extracts, and topical products.  Matt Schwimmer owner of three Green Oasis medical pot dispensaries says , ” Allowing these additions to recreational pot sales will change the industry and peoples lives.”  Schwimmer’s Jantzen Beach location will either be drivers last stop before leaving Oregon or the first stop coming from Washington state.  He’s invested a lot in a Billboard over I-5 near the Jantzen beach store.

Consumers have been anxious to purchase these new products.  Topicals can offer pain relief while edibles offer the high in another form.  Anyone wanting to purchase these products has to be 21 years old or older.  The expanded sales are part of Oregon’s slow roll out of it’s marijuana program.

Until now, marijuana infused treats and foods have been available only to medical marijuana patients and their caregivers.  Makers of these products welcome the expanded customer base.  Consumers are encouraged to indulge in small quantities so as not to encounter adverse effects.  15 milligrams of THC is the maximum allowed  in edibles.
