Landline Texting Is Here

Frontier Communications says it is the first full service telecom to let businesses add texting from a company’s existing landline.

Lois-Hedg-peth, Frontier’s executive vp of technology, says they’ve begun offering businesses an app to send texts, via laptop or pc, from a company landline.

According to Hedg-peth, landline texts mean businesses can react to events quickly.    For example, a bagel shop that made too many bagels can alert customers, by text, that they’ll be half price for the next two-hours.
