Bernie $upport Big in NW

PORTLAND, Ore – Numbers from the Federal Election Commission and the U.S. Census Bureau show there is a west coast bias for Democratic Presidential Nominee Bernie Sanders. The Seattle Times reported the numbers, and they show strong financial support coming from the Emerald City and the Evergreen State as well.

The report looked at the 50 biggest cities in the U.S. San Francisco was number one in overall donations at almost $670,000 as of February, that puts them at $785 per thousand residents. Not far behind in total donations was Seattle with just under $600,000. However, that averaged out to $893 per 1,000 people, good for tops in the nation.

Portland also made the list, coming in at #3 with $638 average and nearly $400,000 in total donations.
