AMR Life Guards Hit The Rivers

TROUTDALE, Ore.–  21 Life guards with AMR will split their duties between Glenn Otto State Park and High Rocks in Oregon City.  They will be helping swimmers understand the dangers of the river and what to watch out for.  the number one mistake river swimmers is make is not anticipated how cold the water is and how fast it moves.

To help swimmers kiosks with life jackets  have been set up at Glenn Otto State park and High Rocks.  the life guards have trained in swift-water rescue for 80 hours.  last year they pulled over 120 swimmers out of the water.
