A child and two adults are among the first flu deaths this season in Washington as the seasonal bug picks up momentum and spreads across the state.

The child, said to be younger than 12, was from Pierce County.  The other deaths were in King County; a man in his 80's and woman in her 70's.

Doctors are urging everyone six months and older to get vaccinated.  The flu kills 27 people annually in Washington.  The worst was three seasons ago when 100 died.
