The best way to fix Alzheimer’s is to prevent it before it starts, but how do you test medication for that? On OHSU’s On the Brain blog, Joseph Quinn, M.D., says it’s difficult because researchers would need to study many participants over many years to see whether the drug had any effect compared to a controlled study group given a placebo.
