City Bars Public Access to Oswego Lake

Oswego Lake just got more exclusive. The city council last night approved a resolution barring the public from accessing the lake from city parks. The new rule takes effect right away. The resolution comes in the wake of a debate over whether the lake is public or private. It means if an Occupy Oswego Lake event goes forward with protestors using the lake by reaching it from city parks, they would be acting illegally. The Occupy event had been set for last month but was scrubbed because of rainy conditions.
