Red Kettles Not Going "Cha-Ching"

Major Don Gilger with the Salvation Army says they are about 45% behind of their money raising goal for this year.  He says they had hoped to gather $900,000 out of their 150 local red kettles, but are so far only about 1/3 of the way there. 

Part of the reason for the light kettles he attributes to the fact that they are in less stores.  He says they are also being limited with the amount of days they can set up volunteers with kettles.

Gilger says regardless of how much money they raise during this critical holiday season, they expect to serve about 20,000 people.
