When forecasters met last month, they said they
didn't expect this to be a La Nina year.
They're right. The ocean
temperatures are normal this year unlike in a La Nina year, but so far, it's
been raining like Nina is here.
According to The Columbian Weather Blogger and the National Weather
Service, 6.15 inches of rain have fallen
in October and 8.25 inches of rain in November.
That's nearly 15 inches so far this season. We've reached a water surplus for the year and it's only early December and that means the potential for a lot of flooding. These storms are coming from the south and
are relatively warm....but long range models show we may see some really cold
temperatures next week. Can you say
"snow"?
