It is the end of an era at Stardig Christmas Trees on S. Spangler Road in Beavercreek. Bill and Becky Stardig have sold the 22 acre operation after almost 20 years in the u-cut tree business. She says its time for him to retire. For the last seven years, the farm has donated trees to the Trees For Troops program. They will ship 100 donated trees next week to barracks across the country. The new owners will continue to operate the u-cut farm but Becky Stardig says she does not know if the new owners will still take part in Trees for Troops.
