Five Pedestrians Hit By Cars

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning were tragic on the roads with four separate wrecks involving pedestrians across the metro area.  One person died and four others were injured.

71-year-old Ksenia Aleksandrova and 70-year-old Pavel Krivolenkov were crossing Washington Street near 108th Avenue when they were hit.  Sadly, Aleksandrova did not survive.

Also in Southeast Portland, a 16-year-old boy was critically injured when he darted across 82nd Avenue from the Fred Meyer near Foster Road. 

A 14-year-old boy was also running across an Aloha street on his way home from sports practice when he was hit by a vehicle on SW Farmington Road near 189th Avenue and knocked unconscious.  He's in stable condition.

A fifth pedestrian was struck around 6:30 this morning at Southeast 39th and Hawthorne.  Their injuries are not as serious.
