Thieves Take Vancouver Couple's Freedom

A couple months ago Harly Forbes traded in his Schwinn Varsity for a tandem bicycle he could share with his wife, Courtney. The couple are developmentally delayed, and bikes are the only way they can easily get around. On Monday morning the family woke up to find out thieves had cut a security cable, riding away on the bike. They even propped a rocking chair against the door knob of the front door, just in case someone heard them.

Courtney's mother tells The Columbian her daughter has hardly stopped crying since the theft. Harly says the bike is worth nearly $900, and they can't afford to replace it. Vancouver police have released the following video surveillance which appears to show someone riding away on the tandem bike:
