The death of a missing hunter near Mt St Helens serves as a reminder for all of us if we're headed out to the woods this time of year: Things can turn bad quickly.  Skamania County Undersheriff Sheriff Dave Cox wants people to remember that technology is a great help but can’t always bail you out in the wilderness.  There are no cell towers up there.  He also reminds people that the weather in the cascades can change hour by hour.  We bring this up now because a big storm is making its way into Oregon today.  We can expect up to 2 feet of snow later today on Mt Hood.  We’ll talk to the National Weather Service this morning on KXL.

Also, we are still on “Occupy Porltand” watch.  PSU students plan to walk out at Noon today to support the movement.
