A woman accused of carjacking two drivers within 20 minutes this morning in Portland crashed and was seriously injured. Police believe that she was either high on drugs or having a mental crisis.
First, she ran up to a driver at Northeast Grand and Oregon saying her family was trying to kill her. The victim says the woman was very panicked.
As officers responded, she took off running and carjacked another driver at North Interstate and Multnomah. The victim hopped in the back seat, and later bailed just moments before the woman lost control, went up a steep hill and hit a building at North Interstate and Mississippi.
The 26-year-old will be in the hospital for several days.
