Portland police say they want the occupy protests at Chapman and Lownsdale Squares to continue to be peaceful, but they are preparing for the worst.  Police say people at the encampments are building weapons and shields.  Others have called for gas masks and support from Oakland, Seattle and the anarchist movement.  Police anticipate an extra 300 people at the camps this weekend.  But other organizers are calling on campers to move all of their belongings out of the camp this afternoon.  They say the people from Seattle are coming down to support the "nonviolent" goals.  Do these mixed messages make you worried?
Tensions are high since Mayor Sam Adams gave the campers a midnight Saturday deadline to be out of the parks.  Lots of events are planned for tomorrow, in anticipation of the eviction.  There will be potlucks, bike rides and rallies.  For a full list of the plans, click here.
