Wedding Season will be Busy

It's going to be a busy summer for Jan Ostrom.  She owns Busy Bee Catering and says "We're all booked for the summer.  Strongly booked through all of August.  September is a little bit spotty and we've gotten some calls for some Christmas parties already."  But if you're still looking for a caterer, or any other vendor for that matter, she says there is still hope.  She says cancellations happen but also, couples are waiting longer to book.  "Lot of shopping and not a lot of decision making right on the spot, so I think there's still people available." she says.
On her end, couples are choosing a more basic menu, to get the most bang for their buck.  Another money saving tip, this time from a bride, is fake flowers in the bouquets.  Lizzy Mann says flowers wasn't something she wanted to spend a lot of money on anyway, and the ones she wanted don't last very long, so she's going with plastic.
