The Oregon Ducks are undefeated and looking to stay perfect this weekend in the bay area. Nick Aliotti Oregon Ducks Defensive Coordinator joined The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the Ducks upcoming game against Cal.

Aliotti didn’t know about the USC ball deflating incident until he was on the bus on his way back to Eugene. With this new controversy hitting top stories, people are wondering if it would make much of a difference with the ending score between USC and the Ducks.

“When I was in the NFL and I coached the special teams Sean Landeta would do everything he could to soften up those balls," said Aliotti. "Kickers must like, you know not a mush mush ball, but a little bit softer ball”.

The problem with the student manager letting the air out of the game balls is the intention. It is seen by many as cheating and is looked down upon by the USC organization. John takes the interview to the upcoming game with the Oregon Ducks and Cal. Aliotti thinks that Cal has been doing a great job over their 2012 season, but every team has their problems.

“But I anticipate that they are going to try to take the air out of the ball, in a different way, by running it, play action, short controlled passes, and keep the chains moving to probably do a great job of keeping our offense of the field.

With the Ducks undefeated season Chip Kelly will have high expectations to uphold in this week’s upcoming game. Aliotti is very proud of the Ducks offense and is excited to see them dominate like they have all season.
