Oregon State Beavers head coach Mike Riley joined guest host Fletcher Johnson Wednesday afternoon on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about the disappointing loss to Stanford last week, the Friday night game against USC, and the leadership on his team
Coach Riley was disappointed with the Stanford loss. "Ringing in my ears was something that Coach Bryant used to say 'The most important part of the game is right before the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half.' and boy did that haunt us. It was a rough, physical, tough, hard football game and they made more plays than us and so they won the game."
Mike Riley responded to the former Ducks players who have spoken out
against fans. "In college football in particular, you have good, loyal fans who look at the game as a great event and cheer for their team and are totally involved. Just like everything in our world there are going to be outliers that could ruin it for everybody and give the thing a bad picture or a bad name but I think in general people like college football. I think for the most part that's what we've got here all over our state."
The Beavers will play the USC Trojans Friday night at Reser Stadium in Corvallis.
