UCLA gave the Ducks all they could handle, but in the 2nd half Oregon pulled away to secure 42-14 win and remain undefeated on the season.
The Bruins (5-2, 2-2 PAC-12) started off hot, forcing a Keanon Lowe fumble and capping off a short drive with a four yard Brett Hundley touchdown run. The Ducks (8-0, 5-0 PAC-12) responded with an 8 play, 82 yard drive resulting in a DeAnthony Thomas one yard touchdown run.
Things stayed tight in the 2nd quarter. Oregon took the lead for the first time in the game after a 40 yard Byron Marshall touchdown run, but UCLA responded with 1:35 to go. Brett Hundley tossed an 11 yard touchdown to Thomas Duarte to lock the game up at 14 apiece. That would be the score going into the half.
Oregon came out focused in the 2nd half and took the lead with 2:57 left in the 3rd quarter thanks to a Byron Marshall 11 yard touchdown run. After that things were uneventful offensively until just over 2 minutes into the final quarter, when Marcus Mariota threw an 8 yard TD pass to Bralon Addison. Running backs Byron Marshal and Thomas Tyner sealed the deal with touchdown scampers to give the Ducks the win, 42-14.
Oregon gets to enjoy next Saturday off as they get prepared for the Stanford Cardinal, the team that upset the Ducks at Autzen last season. That will be a Thursday night game.
