We hear about robberies everyday in the metro area. But rarely does someone ever get their entire life savings stole, along with their family diamonds, and irreplaceable jewelry pieces. And that's just what happened to a Northeast Vancouver woman who was robbed late last week while she wasn't home.

Her father was the first to  discover that the home was broken into when he found the front door flung wide open. At first Jordan Ruemler and her father thought that it was just some kids pulling a prank, after he couldn't find anything missing or even out of place. That's when the owner of Splash Bar had a heart-sinking feeling that her safe was gone.

Ruemler was right.

Her spirits were after she realized just what was in that safe. Her entire life savings, family jewels passed down from generations, her mothers jewelry including a ring made by her father decades ago. Also in the safe was a diamond pendant that once belonged to her best friend, who was hit and killed by a drunk driver.

Jordan Ruemler is offering a substantial reward for whoever brings it back. She says no questions will be asked and whoever returns the items can keep all the cash found. Ruemler is offering $5,000 for whoever can deliver her information leading towards an arrest.

A private investigator has been hired.

Her closest friends will be taking lie detector tests after investigators say that whoever did this, had intimate knowledge of her home. And also because Ruemler can count on one hand how many people knew that safe existed. Investigators believed there were multiple suspects, and that whoever did this walked passed several valuables that the average thief would have loved to get their hands on.

If you have information regarding this case you can contact Peterson Investigators at 503-310-8767. If you wish to contact Jordan herself, she can be reached at 708-846-6409
