Nick Aliotti: Driven by Passion
October 24, 2013, 3:50 pm
Oregon Ducks defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti joined host John Canzano Thursday afternoon on the Bald Faced Truth to talk about facing UCLA this weekend in Eugene, Oregon.
Aliotti spoke about his passionate coaching style. "After a game, you're talking about three hours where you're totally concentrating and making a call you're on defense every twenty-five seconds or so. You're fired up and there's conversations with your players or coaches, half-time, the whole nine yards. There's a lot going on still. Bottom line is your adrenaline is floating pretty good at the end of the game."
Aliotti spoke about coaching and what it means to him. "I got into this profession for the kids. I loved coaching and I loved being around the kids, the teaching part of it. I love the college game because to a large degree you are helping young men become better men. Whenever you lose one whoever they may be it really does bother you because the bottom line is you hope when they leave you sent them away a better man. When you lose a guy, it bothers you. It really does."
The Ducks will play UCLA this weekend in Eugene at Autzen Stadium.
