Hannah: Best Offensive Lineman of All Time
October 24, 2013, 2:40 pm
NFL Hall of Fame player John Hannah joined host John Canzano Thursday afternoon on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about his time playing for Bear Bryant, his trouble with the Patriots management, and the potential Alabama and Oregon match-up.
"Somebody asked me one time what was the one thing I learned at Alabama that I never forgot. I learned that you can work harder than you think you can and if you work hard enough you can win. That's what Coach Bryant did. He pushed you and got you over the edge and made you realize that barrier that you can only go so far, that's not a barrier at all. You can go a lot further than that."
John Hannah went to Super Bowl XX with the Patriots. "I think it was great getting there but it wasn't fun being there. We got trounced. It was not fun, it was not fun at all. What we can take away though is we were the first team in the history of the NFL to go in as a wild card and play every playoff game on the road and make it to the Super Bowl. That final game was not a happy remembrance."
