Could Your Home Be Sitting on a Future Landslide?

Just in time for fall rains, the Oregon Department of Geology has released a study eight years in the making which pinpoints 8,000 historic landslides.  This information can give homeowners an idea if their property has been hit by landslides in the past, and if their house may be vulnerable.

They've put together an online tool called HazVu, which has a ton of valuable information including geohazards throughout the state.  You can enter the address of your home or any building around you and see what hazards might affect you.
