Hiring Center Opens for New Beaverton Neighborhood Market
Store offers about 65 positions
 
WHAT: Walmart will hire approximately 65 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open in Beaverton. To provide a convenient location for applicants to apply for jobs, the retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 9400 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, Suite 200, in Beaverton.  
 
The hiring center will open Monday, Oct. 22. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online at http://careers.walmart.com. Applicants can also stop by hiring center Monday- Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., where computer kiosks are also available.
 
“We are hiring full- and part-time associates,” said store manager James Reiter. “Walmart provides good jobs with opportunities for career growth, and we look forward to talking with candidates who are interested in joining our store’s team.”
 
Reiter said associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store including customer service associates, stockers, cashiers and supervisory positions like merchandise supervisors and department managers.
                       
Walmart’s benefit program is available to eligible full- and part-time associates and provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits, including health-care coverage with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.
 
The majority of associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
