The Clark County Health Department has cleared
On the Border Mexican Grill in Vancouver to re-open one week after it was shut down because of a
salmonella outbreak.
There were 23 confirmed cases and over 50 more that were suspected between September 20th and October 8th. Four people were hospitalized.
The restaurant has been cleaned thoroughly and sanitized. Potentially contaminated food was thrown out. Employees testing negative for salmonella are allowed back to work.
Officials say the health of customers is no longer threatened, although the source of the outbreak still has not been traced. On the Border is now serving up eats once again at their location on Southeast 164th Avenue.
